Sunflower at Cabo Rojo
Melrose, South Bronx - Encampment for six months to defent over 23 endangered community gardens.
28 feet above the community garden in the smiling face of our sunflower rests two chairs with lock-boxes. A crane and a metal grinder is needed to cut out each person's steel reinforced tube where the arm is voluntarily locked-in.
The petals spell out:
Paz/Peace, Hope, Food, Health and Beauty
The Sunshine Garden's Multiheaded Sleeping Dragon Surprise
Another more abstracted art piece with multiple lock-downs buried under the ground with poured cement all around it.
